If you'd like to book Chrysanthe for a live performance, you may do so as a solo artist or as part of Duo Meranti. Please peruse the three main options below.
Duo Meranti is a classical violin-guitar duo comprised of Sean Hayward and Chrysanthe Tan. Formed in 2013, this duo has performed widely throughout the state, premiered new works, and embraces experimental, Balkan, and improvisatory influences. Sean and Chrysanthe plan to release their first album of entirely new commissioned music in 2017.
SPECIAL EVENT
Duo Meranti would love to set the mood at your upcoming wedding, holiday party, cocktail hour, corporate event, anniversary dinner, private serenade, wine tasting, open house, ceremony, or any other occasion you can that would benefit from the beautiful sound of the violin and guitar.
Sample musical selections include arrangements of standard classical pieces, Spanish music, Balkan music, oldies tunes, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, movie themes, folk songs, and contemporary pop. Please let us know if you have a special request!
HOUSE CONCERT
Duo Meranti offers house concerts free of charge to any host who is willing to provide a nice space and sizable audience of their own friends & family. We only request that the host passes around a donation jar after the concert. Intimate house concerts are some of our absolute favorite performances, as they allow us to connect in a deep way with our audience. They are always truly magical nights. Stories live
Stories Live is an immersive chamber music experience featuring the music from Chrysanthe Tan's Stories album. The live act features a dynamic string trio, pianist, electronic playback elements, and optional multimedia. Blankets, pillows, and journals are highly encouraged! We aim for this to be an inspiring, creativity-inducing show.
